About these parts
Body armor is the category that separates a JL that looks capable from one that survives contact. Everything here is structural rather than cosmetic.
Bumpers. The GateKeeper Gauntlet front bumpers come in bull-bar and winch-plate configurations — pick based on whether you are actually running a winch, since the winch plate adds weight you do not need otherwise. A matching rear bumper is available, and the license plate relocation kit exists because moving to an aftermarket bumper leaves the factory plate mount stranded.
Underbody. The Gauntlet skid plate bolts to the front bumper rather than the frame, so it is bumper-specific.
Tailgate. The drop-down tailgate conversion trades the factory swing gate for a fold-down bed-style opening — a real quality-of-life change if you load the back of a JLU often.
Fits the 2018 and newer Wrangler JL and JLU. Several of these parts also cover the Gladiator JT, which shares the platform — those are listed under JT Body Armor as well.
