Factory steering on the Lexus GX460 gets vague once the truck is running oversized tires, lockers and regular trail miles — the same complaint owners of the platform-mate 5th Gen 4Runner report.

The Toyo-Steering billet Tundra conversion rack kit swaps in heavier Tundra-spec steering components inside a fully CNC-machined billet housing. The redesigned rack corrects the bore axis so tie rods clear coilovers, narrows the rack width for full stroke, and shifts the pinion inboard to eliminate frame notching. The OEM intermediate shaft is reused.

This kit is cut for the 2010–2023 GX460 (J150). The 2003–2009 GX470 is the earlier J120 platform and uses a different kit, and the 2024+ GX550 is different again. For off-road use only — installing it voids factory warranty coverage on steering components.
