The Campsite Carbon GT Backwoods disc brake adapter is designed and manufactured in the USA. It provides the caliper mounting point that the Backwoods frame lacks, since the bike predates the frame-side disc brake mounting standards now taken for granted.

This is the common obstacle when modernizing an older mountain bike: the wheels, brakes and levers are all available, but the frame has nowhere to bolt the caliper.
