The Lexus GX470 was built from 2003 through 2009 on Toyota's J120 platform — the same underpinnings as the fourth-generation 4Runner and the Land Cruiser Prado 120, powered by the 4.7L 2UZ-FE V8. That shared Toyota architecture is why truck parts and upgrades often cross over to the GX470 where they wouldn't to other luxury SUVs.
The Toyo-Steering billet Tundra conversion rack kit is one of those crossovers. It swaps in heavier Tundra-spec steering components with precision-machined hardware, tightening up steering response on a platform whose factory components are a known weak point once heavier tires are fitted. The same conversion is offered for the 2005–2015 Toyota Tacoma.
The GX470 was replaced by the GX460 (J150) for 2010, which is a different platform — GX470 parts do not carry over.
