The C8's mid-engine layout puts the exhaust directly behind the cabin, which makes tone selection a more consequential decision than on a front-engine Corvette — you sit much closer to it.
Akrapovic offers a titanium Slip-On Line and a stainless link pipe set with catalytic converter for owners going further up the system. AeroflowDynamics builds an F1 exhaust system specifically for the C8 Z06 and its flat-plane-crank 5.5L LT6, which has a distinctly different character from the LT2's exhaust note.
One fitment note that applies to most C8 exhaust: many systems are built around the factory NPP dual-mode exhaust and should not be installed on cars without it. Check whether your car has NPP before ordering.
