Honest Jeep JL Manual Shift Knob Review...

I have a 2018 JLU 4x4, 3.8L Manual. Overall the fit and finish is pretty nice. The knob would be better for someone with smaller hands as the diameter of the knob is a bit small for me. The look and feel of the knob seem decent and time will tell how it holds up in the heat and sun in Texas. I also found the set screws to be too short, and go beyond their threads when mounting to the stick. I think they are good enough to hold the knob in place from being pulled off, but I do have concern about the strength with set screws fully seated beyond the threads of the knob. There is a little play in the knob on a twist, but it is not bad… may be due to the set screws as well. May try to back out the set screws and lift up a little on the knob to see if I can get a better seat. If I had any recommendations, I would say add some girth to the knob, it needs to have a slightly bigger diameter… somewhere between what it is now and the OEM knob I think would be perfect. This should help people from hitting the hazards on 5th gear. Visually I think it's a good product… price is a bit high for what it is to be competitive, thinking 15-25% less would be a good price point to be honest.
