C4 exhaust fitment follows the engine, not just the year. Corsa Performance Sport cat-back systems are offered for the 1986–1991 L98 in polished and black finishes, and separately for the 1992–1995 LT1 — the two are not interchangeable because the L98 and LT1 cars use different rear exhaust routing.
A Borla rear section with 2.5-inch converter is available for 1984–1991 cars with the square-tip factory arrangement, for owners replacing the rear section only rather than the full cat-back.
