About these parts

The 5th Gen 4Runner ran an unusually long 15 years, and in that time the factory steering rack became the known weak point for anyone running oversized tires, lockers and long-travel suspension.

The Toyo-Steering billet Tundra conversion rack kit swaps in heavier Tundra-spec steering components inside a fully CNC-machined billet housing. The redesign narrows rack width for full stroke, corrects the bore axis so tie rods clear coilovers, and shifts the pinion inboard to eliminate frame interference. Bushings are cut to fit the J150 frame, and the OEM intermediate shaft is reused.

Cut for the 2010–2024 4Runner (N280), which shares its platform with the Lexus GX460 — the same kit family covers both. The 2003–2009 4th Gen and the 2025+ 6th Gen are different platforms. For off-road use only — installing it voids factory warranty coverage on steering components.
