Are any of your parts made a different way?

Yes, and here's the list. Nearly everything we print is MJF PA12 nylon. The exceptions are the vacuum pump cover, the cover included in the vacuum pump relocation kit, the fairlead block-off plate, and the upper console organizers for the JK, JL and JT. Those are printed on our own machines in different materials — the fairlead block-off, for instance, is carbon-fiber-reinforced nylon.

We spell this out rather than leave it vague, because material matters when you're deciding what to bolt to your rig. Where a product page names a material, that's what the part is made of. Want the exact spec on one of the exceptions? Email us and we'll tell you.

Do your parts require drilling, cutting or welding?

Parts we design and manufacture ourselves are engineered as true bolt-on installs. They use factory mounting points and ordinary hand tools, with no drilling, cutting or welding.

Partner-brand products vary, and anything that does require modification says so plainly in the product description. A few examples: some auxiliary fuel tank installs need the rearmost tail pipe shortened or swapped for a turndown, and the billet steering rack conversions for the 4th Gen 4Runner and GX470 require the stock spindles to be reamed to a 1:10 taper. If you do not see a note like that, the part bolts on. When in doubt, email us before ordering.

Will installing aftermarket parts void my factory warranty?

It depends entirely on the part. Bolt-on accessories that use factory mounting points and do not alter a vehicle system generally have no bearing on warranty coverage.

Some off-road and performance hardware does. The Toyo-Steering billet Tundra rack conversion kits, for instance, are sold for off-road use only and void factory warranty coverage on steering components. Where a manufacturer states a warranty implication, we carry that disclaimer through to the product page rather than bury it. Read it before you buy, and check with your dealer if you are unsure how it applies to your vehicle.

How do I know which generation my Toyota or Lexus is?

Fitment on trucks and SUVs runs by generation, not by model year alone. Here is how the platforms we carry break down:

Tacoma — 1st Gen 1995–2004, 2nd Gen 2005–2015, 3rd Gen 2016–2023, 4th Gen 2024 and newer.
Tundra — 1st Gen 2000–2006, 2nd Gen 2007–2021, 3rd Gen 2022 and newer.
4Runner — 4th Gen 2003–2009, 5th Gen 2010–2024, 6th Gen 2025 and newer.
Lexus GX — GX470 2003–2009, GX460 2010–2023, GX550 2024 and newer.
Land Cruiser 250 — 2024 and newer.

Find your model year in that list, then shop that generation's collection. Watch the boundaries closely: a 2023 4Runner and a 2025 4Runner are different platforms entirely, and almost nothing carries across.

Do 4Runner parts also fit the Lexus GX?

Often, because they share platforms. The 4th Gen 4Runner and the GX470 are both built on Toyota's J120. The 5th Gen 4Runner and the GX460 are both J150. The Land Cruiser 250, the GX550 and the 6th Gen 4Runner all sit on J250.

Parts that genuinely cross over are listed under every vehicle they fit, so you will find them in both collections. But sharing a frame does not guarantee a part interchanges — body panels, lighting and interior trim are usually model-specific even when the chassis underneath is identical. Go by the fitment list on the product page rather than the platform code.

Our Products & Partner Brands

Do you manufacture everything you sell?

No, and we're clear about which is which.

Most of the Campsite Carbon Originals line we design and manufacture ourselves — the TrailView doors-off mirror systems, the laser-etched billet shift knobs, the printed Jeep, Corvette and RC parts. Those come off industrial MJF printers in PA12 nylon, plus CNC and in-house FDM for a few specific parts.

Some of it we designed and had built to our spec by a fabricator here in Illinois, like the JL stainless axle-back exhaust. And some of it is hardware we tested, spec'd and sourced ourselves for one exact application — the bolts, the plugs, the clips. We didn't cut those threads, but we're the reason the right part is in the box instead of a close-enough one.

What you won't find in Originals is a product someone else developed that we just put on a shelf. Those live in the rest of the catalog with the maker's name on them.

Which brands do you carry?

A partial list, and it grows: ORACLE Lighting and AlphaRex for lighting. Turn Offroad and GateKeeper Off-Road for armor, bumpers and sliders. Camburg and Carli for suspension and chassis. Akrapovic for exhaust and Alcon for big brake kits. Helivue Design for auxiliary fuel systems. Toyo-Steering for billet steering rack conversions. CargoKits for seat delete and cargo systems. Ford Racing and Pedal Commander on the performance side. Island Hobby Nut and Friendly Hobbies for RC.

Why did my order arrive in more than one shipment?

Partner-brand items ship directly from the manufacturer that builds them, so an order containing products from two brands arrives as two parcels with separate tracking numbers. Our own products ship from us.

You will get a tracking notification for each shipment as it leaves. Nothing has gone wrong — it just means your order is coming from more than one place, and the pieces may not land on the same day.

Auxiliary Fuel Systems

How does an auxiliary fuel tank work?

The auxiliary tank mounts to the frame and plumbs into your factory filler neck, so both tanks fill at the same time from the same pump handle. There is no second fill point to manage and the factory evap system stays in place. The tanks tuck above the bumper line, so from outside the truck the install is close to invisible.

When you want the extra range, an included transfer pump moves fuel from the auxiliary tank into the main tank. A programmable switch and gauge controls it and shows the auxiliary level, fed by a stainless steel fuel level sender. Kits ship with the pump, switch and gauge, sender, stainless clamps, bung and mounting hardware — everything the install needs.

Budget roughly four to five hours for the install depending on the vehicle.

Will an auxiliary tank work with KDSS or factory air suspension? What about my spare tire?

On several applications, yes. The 2010–2022 and 2025-and-newer 4Runner, 2024-and-newer Tacoma and Land Cruiser 250 kits are designed to retain KDSS, factory air ride and the Class 4 receiver hitch. That is not universal across the line, so check the specific listing for your vehicle rather than assuming.

The spare tire does get relocated on these installs. A few applications also need the rearmost tail pipe shortened or replaced with an aftermarket turndown — the 2024-and-newer Tacoma kit is one of them. Every requirement of that kind is spelled out in the product description before you buy.

Shipping

How long until my order ships?

Orders are processed within 2 to 4 business days after your confirmation email, excluding weekends and holidays. You'll get a shipping notification with tracking as soon as it's on its way.

Do you ship outside the US?

We currently ship within the United States and Canada. If you're located elsewhere, contact us at hello@campsitecarbon.com for a personalized shipping quote.

Orders, Pre-Orders & Returns

What does Coming Soon or Pre-Order mean on a product page?

It means the product is real and confirmed but not shipping yet. We list these early so you can see what is in the pipeline for your vehicle instead of finding out months later.

Coming Soon items are not purchasable — the page is there for reference. Pre-Order items can be bought, and the product page gives the expected ship window. If you want to know the moment a Coming Soon part goes live, email us the product and your vehicle and we will let you know when it lands.

A product shows no stock but I can still add it to my cart. Why?

Some higher-end parts are built to order rather than held on a shelf. The billet steering rack conversion kits are the clearest example — each one is machined and assembled after the order comes in, so the stock count reads zero while the item is fully available to buy.

Lead times vary by product and by how deep the maker's queue is at the time. Email us with the part you are looking at and we will get you a current estimate before you commit to a build slot.

What is your return policy?

The full terms live on our Return Policy page.

Before you send anything back, email us at hello@campsitecarbon.com so we can look at it with you and issue return instructions. A fair amount of what looks like a defect or a fitment problem turns out to be solvable in a couple of messages, and we would rather fix it than have you ship a part across the country.

What if a part does not fit my vehicle?

Email us at hello@campsitecarbon.com with your year, make, model and trim, the part you ordered, and photos if you have them.

Fitment issues almost always trace to one of three things: a generation boundary that is easy to miss, a trim-specific difference, or an install step that reads past quickly. We will work through those with you first. If the part genuinely does not fit your vehicle, we will sort out the return from there.
