Heat is the limiting factor on high-power brushless RC. An overheating ESC will throttle back or fail outright, and sustained motor heat degrades magnets and bearings over time — so cooling is what lets you run longer and keeps parts alive.
Kit names describe the fans they contain: 30Thirty is two 30mm fans, 40Forty is two 40mm fans, 50Fifty is two 50mm fans. The S number — 3S, 4S, 6S, 8S — is how many cells the LiPo pack is made of. Bigger trucks run bigger batteries, larger motors and bigger fans, so the two scale together.

Motor fans and ESC fans do different jobs — one pulls heat off the motor can, the other cools the speed controller. On a hard-run 6S or 8S truck you generally want both. Aluminum fans are sold individually in 30mm, 35mm, 40mm and 50mm for replacement or custom setups, alongside an Arrma 4074 heat sink.
